See Ya, Orlando

I have to admit that when we picked up Orlando Pace last year I was somewhat excited. I was excited WITH THE CAVEAT that I had assumed that the staff put him through his paces before picking him up and paying him a gazillion dollars to play.

Well, you know what they say about never assuming

I remember the very first game I watched him play and saying to myself “what the fuck?”? The guy could hardly move and I can’t remember seeing him downfield on a run a single time all last year. Nice job Angelo. Next time, maybe observe the guy in his physical for 20 seconds BEFORE signing him. I am sure the great judge of talent that is Ron Turner had a lot to do with this as well.

This is why Jelly Angelo scares the heck outta me! He doesn’t know how to assess talent or get people that can assess talent. Like the stupid comment he made about getting a vet wideout (see my recent comments on the RonTurner story). Jelly needs help! I hope the new Dir of Player Personnel will be better at picking the diamonds than our current crew. They seem to find more lumps of coal than diamonds (Pace was the last million $$$ they got us)!

  2. Maybe he used the same due diligence that he employed when he picked Williams in the first round and then he had surgery before he even played a down.

  3. Hey, Williams is our future at left tackle now. God help us all.
