So after all this time do you really think that the Bears are going to get anyone worth a shit to run this offense? Didn’t think so.
So what now? Optimally, we get wiped out each and every game next year so the management is forced to fire everyone from Angelo on down. But there is a huge elephant in the room – the fact that the players union and the NFL are very far from a new agreement, which may mean a work stoppage in 2012 after next years no cap year.
Speaking of that no cap year, I wonder which great free agents the Bears will draw to their offense with our great offensive coordinator that we haven’t hired yet (that we are on our sixth choice now from most reports). Ugh.
I have a bad feeling that whoever gets Ron’s old job will just be another in the long line of shitty offensive coordinators that the Bears have had and that this blog will have material for eternity or until the work stoppage, whichever comes first.
I hope I am wrong.
Well, one of my least favorite people in all of the NFL, Mike Martz, is currently at Halas Hall interviewing for the Bears job. I’m waiting for the debacle to start.
There are only two ways this can end well for the Bears. Either they have an incredible 10+ win season and make the NFC Championship game (I’ve got no illusions of going to the SB), or they stink up the entire NFL, get one or two wins, and finally fire Lovie, Angelo, Phillips, and every single person who has the capacity to make a decision within this organization. Start from the ground up with a brand new team prez, let him hire a new GM, and let that GM hire the new coach. Then, hopefully, there will be a modicum of intelligence at Halas and this Bears team can stop sucking.
haha I called Martz as the OC several months ago. Sigh.

Hey, even if we get MillionPassMike as OC, he’s an upgrade from DumbRon. So we go 8-8, or if prayers are answered 10-6, we return to the playoffs and everyone gets canned anyway. If I want to scrap a staff, I wouldn’t mind doing it when everyone won’t be watching football anyway since the Union and the NFL won’t come to an equitable agreement. Fire em’ all and get Cower in 2011.5 or 2012!!!

By the way, I forgot to mention that I got a letter from the Chicago Bears earlier in the week. They want me to be on the waiting list for season tickets. All I have to do is make a $100 non-refundable deposit per seat to be on the waiting list. I also got an apology from them on an orange piece of paper saying they were sorry for a shitty season. How nice of them.
Fro – I put my name on the list just for kicks, even though I have two pair already. it will be super interesting to see how long before my name is called.
T06 – saying Martz is an upgrade from Ron is pretty obvious. Actually Martz will be a huge upgrade from the Troika of Stupid ™ that is Shea/Shoop/Turner. And I think you are right, they will all get shitcanned eventually.

As I write this, I am watching the Pro Bowl on ESPN, pretty decent game so far. So yea, Johnny Knox is our lone representative, what do you guys think about that? Perhaps a new thread might be a good idea.
