Chudzinski’s Out

According to this article from the Chicago Tribune “written” by that idiotic, grinning skull Dan Pompei

A source close to the situation said Rob Chudzinski, who interviewed with the team Thursday, will not be coming to Chicago. Chudzinski finished the season as the assistant head coach and tight ends coach of the Chargers. His contract is expiring, and it is believed the Chargers want him back. Chudzinski also could be drawing interest from other teams.

Hey here is a basic journalism tip – Dan – please ask WHY Chudzinski won’t be coming to the Bears. Is it because he has other opportunities, and pretty much ANYTHING is better than working for the Bears hopefully-soon-to-be-fired crew of slow moving Lovie and dopey (except for his trade for Cutler) Angelo? Or is it because the Bears don’t want to hire him for some reason or another.

Looks like we continue to stumble down the “let’s let Lovie’s buddie Martz show up and give it a try” route. At least there won’t be any dissension on the happy “Love Train” as they used to play at Soldier Field while the combined crew pushes us further down the drain.

  1. the Bears OC job is radioactive and everybody knows it.

  2. Doshi says:

It’s actually sad. If they’d've fired Idiot Turner last year like they should have, there would’ve been about a dozen good OCs just banging down our doors to get in here. They all knew that they’d have 3 years job security, as Lovie’s not going anywhere until his contract’s up. Now, though, 2 years isn’t enough to uproot anybody’s family or life, Rex Cutler’s a joke (courtesy of Idiot Turner), and the line’s just plain old and not getting any younger. Nobody’s gonna want to come here, I can guarantee that. Not as long as there are alternative options, such as sticking a needle in their eyes.

And I do NOT want Martz around here. He’s a Grade-A idiot who’s too full of himself and his own damned plan to understand that he needs to structure his plan around the players he’s got. He’s the person that destroyed the Greatest Show On Turf with his insanity about not feeding their best player (Marshall) and chucking the ball 50 times a game with a QB that clearly didn’t care for his offense. If Rex Cutler throws 26 picks this year under Idiot Turner’s offense, I can only *IMAGINE* the harm he’ll do under Martz’s offense. I’d put the over/under at 35 picks. Anybody want to take the under?

  3. I think you are being a bit hard on Jay, Doshi. I think with any other offensive coordinator he does better, if (and this is a big if) he
    1) isn’t running for his life on every play (we have management also to thank for our debacle of a line)
    2) Our receivers know their routes.

Sure, Jay was responsible for a lot of his picks, but I would say a good third were under duress, or him throwing to places that receivers weren’t – mostly the receivers fault from what info I can gather.

That said, Martz is just waiting for the call. I think it is all over but the crying now. What do the Bears think that they are going to pick some coaches from the Colts or Saints? What the hell are they waiting for? Puhleeze, they need to get on it NOW.
